FEATURE FOR TEENWITCH (PHOTOS + TEXT BY ME)
“Where’s all my teeth gone?” might be a question you face after severe memory loss post TEETH gig. It’s no question the band can get the crowd going, frivolously bashing into each other in time with the bass demanding beats at 3am on Halloween.
After a day in Soho shopping for Japanese food, magazines and dress up clothes, only to come back to a booby trapped house with moving wailing ghosts, Teeth were ready to party. Lead singer, Veronica and drummer, Simon went as Pikachu and Ash, only to look slightly out of place amongst the naked vampires and zombies. Synth Simon came as a sexy robber…they made a cool power team.
The Pokemon / criminal collaboration worked well on stage, resulting in a mind blowing set. People were in a trance with the adapted vocals and synth clawing their way out of the speakers. No doubt people’s ears were ringing for days after, but no-one gave a fuck. We’re talking TEETH here, not TOOTH.
